UPDATE** Woking Massage Studio will be closed today due to the snow. Be safe out there and see you soon.
Congratulations to @ianmowbraygolf on finishing tied first today in the Pro's Individual event and second in the team event today in the Guildford Alliance at St Georges Hill. The sports massage he received at Woking Massage Studio before the event obviously helped!
Congratulations to Rafa Nadal for winning the 2017 US Open. This is his 16th Grand Slam title and more to come. Enhorabuena Campeón!
The pain occurs in the medial side of the elbow and golfing is one of many sports that can cause this type of injury in the flexor tendons of the forearm.
The best way to recover from this injury is to follow a combination of the following:
1. Rest and stop the activity that caused the injury for a few weeks.
2. Use a compression strap to reduce some of the tension and protect the tendon if you have to play a sport like golf.
3. Stretch to aid the healing process:
Palm flat on a flat surface with hand rotated 180 degrees backwards, lean backwards to stretch the flexors.
4. And gradually start strengthening exercises. Always stop if they are causing pain.
Very proud of my compatriot wining his 10th French Open title.
Nadal performed to the best of his ability and didn't lose a set in the whole tournament. Enhorabuena Nadal!
Please join me welcoming my new sports massage assistant, Bones, to Woking Massage Studio.
Bones comes highly recommended and he has had a hard and long career.
Below is an interesting article from the person who created the term "RICE", Dr Gabe Mirkin who explains that cryotherapy may actually prolong recovery.
My name is Cristina and I am the owner of Woking Massage Studio.
